NICK MCMENAMIN

Though not from a particularly musical family, Nick has always been a musical being. As an infant, his parents would calm him down not with the tranquil compositions of Mozart, but rather the hard rocking sounds of ZZ Top. Something about the backbeat was written on his soul. He got his first taste of playing music at the age of 9 when his aunt gifted him an acoustic guitar, and he quickly developed an abiding passion for music that has only grown over the years. That passion led him to Musicians Institute, where he earned an Associate Degree in Music Performance. There he gained a deep appreciation for a wide array of musical styles that has informed his musical path ever since.

Shortly after moving to Salt Lake City in 2018, Nick began to meet many wonderful musicians in the community that are now some of his closest friends and musical collaborators. He can be found around town performing with his buds in Pompe n’ Honey, as well as the rock band Lisa and the Missing Pieces. He also is a passionate educator, teaching guitar and vocal lessons to a cadre of aspiring musicians. When he doesn’t have a guitar in his hands, Nick loves to explore the beautiful mountains and desert landscapes of Utah with his beloved friends and family.
