Local band Hot House West is a gem of Salt Lake City’s music scene. The fourteen-piece swing orchestra blends smooth vocals, plenty of horns, guitar, bass, and drums to create their signature swing and jazz sound. Taking inspiration from jazz legends like Django Reinhardt, their music is a whirlwind of happiness, described as “gold from the first measure to the last” by SLUG Magazine. Their joy will transport you to the wonderful world of their music, while their skill at collective improvisation will leave you in awe.

DELFEAYO MARSALIS & THE UPTOWN JAZZ ORCHESTRA
Founded in 2007 by Delfeayo Marsalis, the Uptown Jazz Orchestra has been putting smiles on their audiences’ faces ever since. A large ensemble consisting of eighteen musicians, their music is focused on preserving jazz traditions and captures a distinctly New Orleans instrumental polyphony. Their energetic spirit and joyful sound are sure to have you tapping your toes and clapping along!
CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE & URSA MAJOR
Christian McBride is an eight-time Grammy Award-winning jazz bassist. Rich and full of life, his music is faithful to jazz traditions while staying unmistakably modern. As one of the greatest bassists of his generation, McBride has performed and recorded with countless jazz ensembles and musicians, as well as artists such as Sting, Paul McCartney, Queen Latifah, and more.
