GORDAN HANKS

Gordon Hanks graduated from the University of Utah’s College of Pharmacy with a bachelor of Science degree in 1967. He was the owner and pharmacist of Holladay Pharmacy for 43 years and the owner of the Olympus Pharmacy for 25 years.  He retired from his Pharmacy practice in  2008. Gordon and Connie have been long time supporters of the University of Utah Athletic Department and the College of Fine Arts, providing scholarships in various disciplines for over 25 years.

In 1994 Gordon Hanks co-founded the GAM Foundation/JazzSLC held at the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake City.  The series has brought the world’s greatest Jazz artists to Utah, enriching our community and increasing the awareness, appreciation and popularity of Jazz America’s music and  hopefully inspiring young Utah musicians.  Jazz SLC provided free and discounted tickets to students from SLC and the surrounding communities over the 27 years of Jazz SLC.
